Dell Rapids is home to several community events. The Farm and Home Show is held the first weekend in February and boasts businesses from around the community, Optimist Pancake Feed and food fares presented by fund raising organizations! Cootie Days Carnival provides multi-age entertainment during the first weekend of each June and is sponsored by the American Legion/VFW Post 65. The Annual Quarry Days Celebration, held
the last full weekend of June features a juried food and craft show, Golf Tournament, Tractor Pulls, Musical & Talent Entertainment, Main Street Parade, Car Show, Fireworks and more. The Fall Festival held in October is a community known event celebrating the autumn season. Scarecrows and Garden Vegetables are on display in our historic downtown. The Christmas at the Dells is held the first weekend in December. It is a weekend of yuletide activities, in-store specials, free horse-drawn rides, carolers and more
on Saturday evening. Enjoy a fully illuminated parade with floats and more
as it takes over our Main Street to start the holiday season.
These events give community members many opportunities to volunteer and get involved in their hometown. The Chamber hosts our own special events for the benefit of our members. These are: The Annual Chamber Banquet and Meeting is held every January. This event highlights the year in the business community with awards for civic and humanitarian efforts and community improvements to business.
The Farm & Home Show is held every February and is a networking business expo sponsored by the Chamber and has over 70 booths of exhibitors,
food and entertainment. Admission is free to the public. Annual Easter Egg Hunt takes place each year in the city park. Mr. Long Ears brings opportunities for bunny petting and picture taking. Lot's of prizes and entertainment for all. Quarterly
Chamber Business Meetings provide training and networking opportunities for our business members along with a meal and updates on Chamber functions.
