Trails Committee and Sioux Trail Improvement |
Last year we installed a Stairway Walk from the lower side of the Highway down to the rivers edge for hikers to be able to navigate safely to the top of the bank and out to the picnic, overlook and parking areas. This years project was to replace broken stakes and install a center board around the overview, secure the tin on the roof of the picnic shelter and replace crushed rock on the stairway. |
Swimming Pool Fund Raiser |
| This year the Dell's Optimist assisted in fund raising for the swimming pool renovation, helped the park committee with the dance and we held the funds for the project. |

Punt - Pass - Kick Tri-Star Basketball girls Tri-Star Basketball boys Homecoming Dance at Public School Homecoming Dance at St. Mary's Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts The club runs this event each year for the scouts by providing weigh-in, race support activities, judging and awards presentation.

Decorated and displayed a Christmas tree in the Dell City of Lights display at the Historic Museum Placed the U.S. Flags on main street for the 4th of July Support a youth to attend the History Fair in Washington, D.C. Met on all first Saturday mornings of each month during the year and the third Saturday mornings of each fall, winter and spring months during the year Hosted the Zone meeting for Gov. Larry Pelzer of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Gov. elect, Jack Dybvig of Sioux Falls, Zone 9 Lt. Gov. Gary Kruger, new Zone 10 Lt. Gov. Dennis Steffen, and members of the Dell Rapids, Brandon, Worthington, Canton and Laverne clubs. Monday night Football Party Annual Golf day with Sioux Falls and Crooks clubs at the Dell's Golf Course

Quarry Days park area 3-day clean-up Tailgate Brat Feed Party for Dell Rapids Public High School Football games Tailgate Brat Feed Party for Dell Rapids St. Mary's High School Football games Pancake Feed at the Dell Rapids Farm & Home Show (2 days) Concession sales for 64 events at the Sioux Falls Arena. Each event included at least two club members selling concessions and working from 5:45pm to 10:30pm or 11:00pm. Activities served were Stampede hockey, Skyforce basketball, Cobra indoor football, CBA basketball, Mayor basketball, ice-skating and 4 concerts. Scholarship Awards |

Last year we distributed 4 - $300.00 scholarships to graduating High School seniors. Students from Dell's Public and St. Mary's High Schools prepared an essay on their thoughts concerning specific passages within the Optimist Creed. Judging was done by a four person committee. |
