Spring is here and Dreamscapes is ready
to be there for you with plants, flowers and expert service for all your
garden and landscape needs.
Nathan and Kristi Heinert started their
business in 2000 after both had worked in the nursery business prior and
each developed a deep-rooted love for horticulture. Their team of 8
employees contain degrees and certifications in horticulture and nursery
expertise.
Their state of the art greenhouse
contains a field of plants and flowers which they began buying for
customers in their landscaping projects. They literally grew into a
fully stocked nursery which today is utilized not only for their
landscape projects but for retail sales, service and training.
Dreamscapes landscaping expertise is
diverse in many directions from paving stone masterpieces (they have
certified paver installers) to aquascapes of ponds and water-gardening artistry.
Each masterpiece is designed with their customer in mind and unique in it's
construction. Everything is molded into a one-of-a-kind living picture
for personal and business environments. They place the finishing touches
on their landscaped artwork with a wide variety of plant life to perform
an ever-changing yard of beauty. Scan through their website for some
great examples of their work.

After taking many shots of the
flowers,
(click here to see them or download them
for desktop backgrounds) Nathan and I talked
about many of the details of the business. I discovered they are in the
practice of teaching people many of their skills for gardening and
landscaping through weekend seminars. Walking though the nursery I
discovered they had everything I could possibly want for my yard and
business. I secretly envy the barzebo, pond and bamboo table and
chairs. I also discovered that they are the only certified SD
members of the ICPI, have 3 of their employees going to school for
horticulture degrees and have one certified nurseryman out of less than
100 in the entire state of SD.

I asked Nathan what advice he might have
for a new business owner and he said, "Run with your business full
throttle and not half-heartedly" He also told me he loves to be
part of promoting Dell Rapids with the beauty of what they do adapting
daily changes into a "1 plant at a time" solution.

Dreamscapes wants the community to know
they are right here with a fully stocked greenhouse and more than
everything you could find in Sioux Falls. They participate in and
support buying locally from Dell Rapids businesses to help improve our
own community. Nathan also serves on the Chamber of Commerce board
of directors and is an active part of community functions.
Call or

information on their "mostly free" weekend seminars. They also
have a mailing list you can sign up for and win plants and flowers if
you are seen sporting one of their window stickers by the "Plant
Patrol". Or if you want to come out and put together a masterpiece
of your own they will be their to help you with all the details.
My wish for dreamscapes is that they
fulfill their dreams and have the opportunity to add that special touch
of beauty to as many yards as possible here in Dell Rapids. OK, when you
have time I would like to utilize some of that special wisdom for our
business, too.
Stop out and visit their nursery!
They are open each day till dark and 5pm on Sundays. You'll love what
you see!
